When to Talk to Parents About Help with Homework
As a kid, you're still bound to the house by rules of parents and those rules mean...you gotta get homework done before you can play on the computer. Gotta eat veggies before you have dessert. You know, usual oppressive regime guidelines that one day, when you're 18, won't have to follow. But you will need to get a job and pay taxes, which is really boring and lame.
Parents often do their best to help with homework, but only at select times. Here are a few available options:
-When they're on the phone. If the grown-up is not on the phone with friends, don't ask for help on timed math tests, it's not a good time. Always try and make sure to tug their sleeve when they are in the middle of a conversation just talking about their day.
-During dinner. It's very important to be studying more than just after school, also into the evening when normally families get together and enjoy their food instead of read.
And...yeah...all other times are blocked off. Sorry.
