Alexandre Desplat Apologizes For Composing Music for a Brown-Eyed Actress After Alan Rickman Utters Famous Line
Years after the release of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Pt. 2", in a bold pro-DEI move, Alexandre Desplat took accountability for his white privilege by blaming his score for accompanying a brown-eyed actress playing child Lily Potter as well as another brown-eyed actress playing the more grown-up version.
"I realize due to my white skin that I have denied an opportunity to actresses with blue eyes like Daniel Radcliffe the chance to be onscreen next to tearjerkers like 'Lily's Theme'."
This twitter apology, since deleted, occurred shortly after promotion of the upcoming HBO special about "Harry Potter" with a black man cast as Severus Snape.
